Craig Davies is an accomplished educator and administrator. His skills have been developed through his experience as an International sportsman, a successful sport administrator, a teacher and an executive educational leader and manager.
Immediately prior to his role as Director of ‘2 Way Learning’, Craig held senior executive positions at two highly regarded independent schools, in Perth and in Sydney. His executive portfolio encompassed community service, outdoor education, international exchange programs and Aboriginal education. Preceding these appointments, his administrative skills were honed over 14 years in a senior management role with one of Australia’s pre-eminent sporting institutes, the Western Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS). In addition, Craig was chosen for three Olympic Games during an international hockey career that spanned 13 years. He was captain of the national team for four years including the Seoul Olympic Games.
As an experienced educator, Craig values experiential learning in a variety of contexts: to build knowledge and foster authentic and respectful relationships, enabling individuals to navigate culturally diverse communities. This incudes walking with, understanding and learning from those who are marginalised in our society and Australia’s First Nations peoples.
Craig holds a Bachelor of Physical Education (Hons) and a Diploma of Education from the University of Western Australia. He is currently studying a Masters of Indigenous Education at Macquarie University.
