Immersion programs relocate individuals into an unfamiliar environment for a period of time for the purpose of providing meaningful learning opportunities.
‘2 Way Learning’ recognises the importance of connecting people to build knowledge and foster authentic relationships. To this end, two distinct Immersion Programs are offered – Outbound Immersion Program and Inbound Immersion Program.
The Outbound program offers non-Aboriginal students from major cities an immersion experience in the remote home community of Aboriginal students.
The Inbound program relocates Aboriginal students from rural or urban NSW into the Sydney CBD for intensive literacy training through experiential learning activities.
Students require competencies to navigate culturally diverse and digitally connected communities.
